The mission of Majestic Harbor Community School (MHCS) is to develop high achieving students by providing a rigorous, hands-on, environmentally-based educational program that fully develops the highest degree of proficiency in communication, intellectual curiosity, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and self understanding. MHCS strives to engender respect of all people while embracing the differences of others and to build an environment that values children and is devoted to demonstrating the utmost commitment to social, civic, personal and environmental responsibility within our community and throughout the world.

ABOUT MAJESTIC HARBOR COMMUNITY SCHOOL

Majestic Harbor Community School was started in 1995 by Beth Costanzo. From the beginning, the school’s primary focus has been the learning process. Students are involved in a rigorous, hands-on educational program. The goal of this program is to develop the highest degree of proficiency in communication, intellectual curiosity, interpersonal and collaborative skills and self understanding that each child can achieve. We acknowledge and encourage the individual learning styles and needs of each child, and when necessary, adapt our facility to meet those learning styles and needs.

Our environmentally based program strives to engender respect for all people, while embracing the differences of others. Our faculty is committed to building an environment that values children and is devoted to demonstrating the utmost commitment to social, civic, personal and environmental responsibility within our community and throughout the world.

At MHCS, we nurture the family, as well as the child. When they come to us, children experience the wonders of beginning school and the development of independence, while parents experience separation and their first glimpses of their child’s academic potential.

Parents and teachers are united by the thrill of watching a child explore their surroundings, and experiment with their discoveries while children are exhilarated by the pride of accomplishment and the sense of self-worth that they achieve as they learn and succeed.

In order for children to succeed and grow both academically and socially, they must be in a place where they can be themselves; a warm, comfortable environment where they feel accepted and safe. A place filled with love and trust. A happy place. That place is Majestic Harbor Community School.
